Natural Language Processing on Google Cloud

Google Cloud via edX

Overview

MIT Sloan: Drive Business Value with AI
6-week cohort with live MIT Faculty sessions. Learn to scale AI beyond the pilot stage.
Build Your AI Strategy

Natural Language Processing (NLP) on Google Cloud teaches you how to build, analyze, and generate language-based data using NLP tools and frameworks on Google Cloud.

Designed for professionals working with machine learning and data, this course develops a practical understanding of how to create production-ready NLP models. You’ll work with Google Cloud solutions and explore the techniques, tools, and architectures used to process and interpret language at scale.

This course explores the key fundamentals of natural language processing, including:

  • Building and comparing neural network architectures such as DNNs (deep neural networks), RNNs (recurrent neural networks), and advanced models like transformers and BERT (Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers) using TensorFlow
  • Creating end-to-end NLP workflows with AutoML on Vertex AI, from data preparation to deployment
  • Applying transfer learning and pre-trained models to solve real-world NLP problems efficiently

You’ll gain hands-on experience developing NLP models and workflows, using both custom architectures and managed tools to support scalable implementation.

Syllabus

  • Recognize the NLP products and the solutions on Google Cloud.
  • Create an end-to-end NLP workflow by using AutoML with Vertex AI.
  • Build different NLP models including DNN, RNN, LSTM, and GRU by using TensorFlow.
  • Recognize advanced NLP models such as encoder-decoder, attention mechanism, transformers, and BERT.
  • Understand transfer learning and apply pre-trained models to solve NLP problems.
