Automating Cisco ACI with Python is just one of the many use cases for today’s Network Engineers to learn programming. In this course, we start with a hands-on Introduction to Python to learn the practical basics of the language. The second portion of this course focuses on Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), and how to automate it using the built-in APIs and external Python scripts.
This course is targeted at Data Center Network Engineers, Designers, or anyone who deals with Day 2 Operations of Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI). In this course we show how to automate repetitive tasks in ACI with Python, such as creating Bridge Domains, EPGs, Contracts, etc. Once completing this course, you will be able to modify existing Python scripts, create new ones, and apply your knowledge to other network automation tasks utilizing Python scripting.
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Write basic python scripts from scratch
- Interface with the Cisco APIC through Postman and Python
- Write python scripts with the ACIToolKit
- Automate the provisioning of an ACI Fabric through Python
