Modular Knitting is a versatile technique in which you create your knitting fabric in individual shapes (or modules) but because each one is joined as it is knit, there is far less finishing than you might expect. Many modular pieces have an almost patchwork appearance, but a lot of the final look depends on what kind of yarn you use.
In this class we will go over the basics of mitered squares, one of the most accessible forms of modular knitting, and the scallop or clamshell pattern which is my personal favorite. When the class is completed, you will be able to go out on your own and create unique modular knitted items to wear or for your home.
