Initial Public Offerings

This module explores the fundamentals of taking a company public, including the characteristics of strong IPO candidates, the roles of key participants, and the mechanics of IPO structures. Learners will also compare alternative public offering methods such as SPACs and direct listings, and understand post-IPO equity transactions. By the end, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the IPO process and its critical success factors.

The IPO Process

This module guides learners through the end-to-end process of taking a company public, from assembling the IPO team and managing corporate housekeeping to drafting key documents and executing the roadshow. Participants will gain insight into legal structures, offering strategies, regulatory filings, and the critical steps involved in pricing and allocating shares. By the end, learners will understand the practical and strategic considerations essential for a successful IPO.
