SST cards expire after five years. To renew your 40 Hour SST card, you must meet the eight-hour refresher training requirement mandated by the New York City Department of Buildings.
Certificate and Card Release Information:
Certificates and cards may be picked up in person or mailed to you at your own expense. You will receive a notification when your documents are ready. All certificates and cards are sent via USPS Priority Mail with tracking codes provided. A processing fee of 10 dollars applies before your certificate or card can be mailed. For an additional fee of 2 dollars and 50 cents (totaling 12 dollars and 50 cents), you can add signature-required delivery as an extra security measure. If a mailed item is lost or requires replacement, you will be responsible for replacement costs. If you wish to authorize the release of your certificate to a person other than the one listed on your registration form, you must provide their name at the time of the request. Valid identification and signatures are required before certificates are released. All payments must be received in full before any certificate or card can be distributed.
Certificate Replacement Policy:
To request a replacement certificate or card, provide the following information: student name, course name, course date, and instructor name. A replacement fee of 60 dollars applies to all certificate and card replacements.
Cancellation Policy:
To receive a full refund, contact the school at least seven business days in advance of your scheduled course date. Students who contact the school after this period will not be eligible for refunds. Those registrations will be held as a paid deposit valid for six months of future course use.
Important Notes:
All course hours include both instructional time and scheduled breaks. All courses remain subject to cancellation if student enrollment falls below the required minimum.
