Comprehensive English is an integrated English course aimed at cultivating learners' fundamental language skills, intercultural communication competence, and critical thinking abilities. The primary objective of the course is to comprehensively enhance students' comprehensive English language proficiency. Its main tasks include teaching systematic basic language knowledge, training students in the essential language skills of listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation, raising cultural awareness and intercultural communication skills, and fostering independent thinking, problem discovery and solving, and other autonomous learning and critical thinking abilities.
