This course primarily covers the production, basic properties, characteristics, and technical requirements of commonly used civil engineering materials such as lime, gypsum, cement, concrete, and steel. Its fundamental objective is to comprehend the production processes, classification, technical properties, practical applications, and testing methods of civil engineering materials. By doing so, you will grasp the basic properties and technical requirements of these materials, be able to analyze and select materials for design in engineering environments, and address engineering problems stemming from material issues.
