This capstone course for the AWS Certified Solutions Architect Specialization covers additional AWS services and the AWS Well-Architected Framework — the tools and principles that elevate a good cloud architecture to a great one. Covering approximately 2 hours and 29 minutes of expert instruction, learners discover services that extend the AWS platform across analytics, messaging, machine learning, and migration, and learn how to evaluate any architecture against the five pillars of the Well-Architected Framework. Learners benefit by understanding how additional AWS services address specific business needs, and how to apply Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency, and Cost Optimization principles to review and improve AWS architectures. By the end of this course, learners will be able to recommend appropriate AWS services for specialized use cases and evaluate any AWS architecture against industry best practices.
-
This course covers the application deployment services and database technologies that modern cloud architectures are built on. Covering approximately 4 hours and 23 minutes of expert instruction across application deployment services including Elastic Beanstalk, CloudFormation, and Lambda, plus database design and deployment using RDS, DynamoDB, and other AWS database services, learners gain the skills to build scalable, managed application platforms on AWS. Learners benefit by understanding how to choose between relational and non-relational database options, deploy managed databases with appropriate replication and backup strategies, and use serverless and managed application deployment services to reduce operational overhead. By the end of this course, learners will be able to design and deploy application infrastructure and databases that meet performance, availability, and cost requirements on AWS.
-
This course covers the core of AWS compute — the EC2 lifecycle and all associated services — alongside foundational IAM concepts. Covering approximately 4 hours and 44 minutes of expert instruction across EC2 design, implementation, and management plus IAM fundamentals, learners develop the skills to build and govern AWS compute infrastructure at scale. Learners benefit by gaining practical knowledge of EC2 instance types, AMIs, elastic load balancers, launch templates, spot and reserved instance purchasing, and the IAM policies, roles, and users that control access to AWS resources. By the end of this course, learners will be able to design, deploy, and manage EC2 compute environments and implement IAM policies that enforce the principle of least privilege across AWS accounts.
-
This course launches the AWS Certified Solutions Architect Specialization with the foundational cloud and AWS knowledge every architect needs. Covering approximately 4 hours and 29 minutes of expert instruction across cloud computing fundamentals, AWS history and global infrastructure, core services overview, and the AWS Essentials chapters, learners build the conceptual foundation for all AWS architecture decisions. Learners benefit by understanding how AWS organizes its global infrastructure, how the core service categories fit together, and how to navigate the AWS Management Console and CLI to begin building cloud solutions. By the end of this course, learners will be able to explain AWS cloud concepts, describe the AWS global infrastructure, and identify the core services used in solutions architect exam scenarios.
-
This course covers three interconnected pillars of resilient, secure AWS architectures: IAM best practices, auto scaling, and advanced virtual network services. Covering over 3 hours of expert instruction, learners develop the skills to build AWS environments that scale automatically under load while maintaining strong security postures and network isolation. Learners benefit by understanding advanced IAM configurations including Control Tower, Service Control Policies, and CloudTrail, as well as EC2 Auto Scaling groups, scaling policies, and AWS networking services including Route 53, CloudFront, and Direct Connect. By the end of this course, learners will be able to implement auto scaling for high availability, apply governance-level IAM controls, and design advanced network architectures on AWS.
-
This course covers two of the most heavily tested areas on the AWS Solutions Architect exam: AWS storage services and Virtual Private Cloud networking. Covering approximately 3 hours and 57 minutes of expert instruction, learners develop a thorough understanding of how to store data durably and securely on AWS, and how to design and implement isolated, secure cloud networks. Learners benefit by gaining practical knowledge of S3 storage classes, lifecycle policies, and security controls alongside EBS, EFS, and S3 Glacier, as well as how to design VPCs with subnets, routing tables, internet gateways, NAT gateways, security groups, and network ACLs. By the end of this course, learners will be able to select appropriate AWS storage services for different use cases and design secure, multi-tier VPC architectures.
