ABOUT THE COURSE:This course offers a brief overview of key concepts related to disability. It covers the basics of disability,important provisions of the RPWD Act, 2016, for the empowerment of learners with disabilities. In addition,the course examines the characteristics, types, and needs of different disabilities, enabling learners torecognize diversity within disability and the importance of individualized support. Finally, it underscores theneed for sensitivity while working with persons with disabilities, fostering empathy, respect, and inclusivepractices essential for educators and professionals. Overall, the course aims to build awareness, legalunderstanding, and humane attitudes necessary for creating inclusive learning environments.
