Week 2:Evolution of management theory (contd.), Managerial skills
Week 3:Levels and roles of manager
Week 4:Meaning, scope and importance of planning, strategy making: formulation vs crafting model
Week 5:Goal setting: Vision, mission, objective, strategy, goals and targets, management by objectives
Week 6:Decision making: Managerial decision-making models
Week 7:Division of work and various basis of organizational structure
Week 8:Power, Authority and responsibility, delegation and decentralization, coordination
Week 9:Leadership and collaboration, leader vs manager, brief discussion on theories of leadership
Week 10:Motivation: content theories of motivation, communication process and barriers to communication.
Week 11:Meaning and process of control, types of controls: financial controls, dysfunctional controls
Week 12:Emerging issues in management, international dimensions
