This course introduces the basic principles of biomedical signal generation, measurement, and simple signal processing techniques used in healthcare technologies. Students will learn about physiological systems, ECG, EEG, and EMG signals, instrumentation amplifiers, noise removal, and filtering techniques. Basic statistical concepts, feature extraction methods, and an introduction to classification are also included. MATLAB demonstrations are provided to give practical exposure. The course is designed to be simple, application-oriented, and suitable for Polytechnic learners.
