- Roles and Responsibilities of the Product Manager
- Product managers play a central role in turning ideas into products that create value for customers and organizations. In this module, you'll explore what product managers do, the skills they need to succeed, and how they guide products throughout the product development life cycle. By the end of this module, you'll have a clear understanding of the product manager's role and how it differs from other leadership positions.
- Managing Innovative Product Teams
- Successful products are rarely built by one person. Product managers work closely with business, design, and engineering teams to transform customer needs into successful products. In this module, you'll learn how cross-functional teams collaborate, how product requirements are developed, and how product managers use proven development methodologies to guide products from concept to launch. You'll gain practical insight into how effective collaboration drives product success.
- Market Development and Commercialization
- Building a great product is only the beginning. Product managers must also understand their customers, develop effective go-to-market strategies, and help products succeed in competitive markets. In this module, you'll explore customer development, market segmentation, commercialization strategies, and marketing concepts that help products reach the right customers and create lasting value.

Great course, clearly structured, with each unit building on the next to learn the basic concepts of product management! Coming from the technical product developer side of multiple (failed) biotech startups, the course helped me understand the mistakes and failures of not offering customer centered solutions. The only reason I give a star less is because I wished they had explained product roadmapping better and not just refer to available software solutions.

As Technical Product Managers we often tend to sideline (if not ignore) the Customer Development along with the Product Development. This course emphasized the need for Product Mangers to not only be good at developing product but also focus on Customer Development and Product Market fit. This was done by great real world examples, sharing successful and proven strategies as well as works of leading and influential writers and businesses.

Product Management Essentials course provided a good understanding of Product Management i,e Product Design, Product Development and Product Marketing. I particularly like the concept of Product Centric Design Vs Customer Centric design, Developing Market Segments, strategies to target market segment and develop customers. Coming from Project Management background I feel I am more curious now to learn more about different facets of Product Management. I highly recommend this course.

Buggy course content and boring long lectures, although the content was useful. This course had great potential to introduce a greater variety of IaaS / PaaS / SaaS products for students to learn about, but its tautological flow hindered its engagement.
