Startup Boards: Advanced Entrepreneurship

I just completed taking this class. The course reading materials and video lectures were very good. The weaknesses were:

1) Lectures were no more than 15 minutes. This left those that were very serious desiring optional reading material which was not offered.

2) The class is supposed to be for existing teams of co-founders. If you do not have a company yet you can try to find other classmates in the same situation. In this scenario the level of commitment from many of the students is widely varied. It is common to have students agree to participate on teams and then just disappear without further communication.

3) The forums provided for discussion were lacking of real discussion about the lecture materials and assignments.

4) The professor and his teaching assistants were rarely available to answer questions.

In spite of these weaknesses my team found the class well worth the investment of our time. The most useful parts of the class were the four assignments to have real Board meetings.
