This course serves as initial and refresher training on analog aircraft instruments. Beginning with the basic design, it's components and possible errors of a pitot static systems, followed by the main barometric instruments: altimeter, vertical speed indicator and airspeed indicator. The next chapter addresses magnetism, from the earth's magnetic field to adjustment and compensation of direct reading compasses. Under gyroscopic instruments we cover the basic gyro principles and their application to indicate attitude, turns and direction. The last chapter of this course explains engine indication in general applicable for jet and turboprop and also for piston engines.
