Syllabus

  • Core Unix Concepts and File System Basics
    • This module introduces the foundational components of the Unix operating system. Learners will explore basic shell interactions, understand the directory structure, and examine how permissions and user contexts operate in a Unix environment. The module is designed to equip learners with essential navigational and conceptual knowledge required to use Unix effectively.
  • File Handling, Commands, and Text Processing
    • This module explores advanced command-line operations for file access, content manipulation, and user communication in Unix. Learners will engage with tools for cutting, filtering, and analyzing text, as well as applying file handling strategies such as redirection, piping, and user interaction commands.
  • Remote Access, Archiving, and Advanced Utilities
    • This module delves into remote access utilities, system communication tools, and powerful archiving features of Unix. Learners will develop skills in using networked commands, automating email responses, and employing compression tools to manage system data efficiently.
