Learn how organizations attract, hire, and reward the talent they need to grow and succeed. In this course, you will explore the full talent acquisition lifecycle, from workforce planning and succession to sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding. You will also develop a practical understanding of how organizations design compensation structures and total rewards programs that are both competitive and compliant. This course gives you the tools to support smarter, more strategic talent decisions at every stage. By the end of this course, you will be able to: Explain how organizations forecast workforce needs, plan for succession, and manage staffing decisions to support long-term talent strategy Describe the talent acquisition lifecycle, including sourcing, hiring, onboarding, key metrics, and relevant employment laws Explain how organizations design, administer, and maintain legal compliance in total rewards and benefits programs Describe job analysis, compensation structures, pay models, and benchmarking methods used to build equitable and competitive compensation programs

Syllabus

  • Workforce Planning and Talent Strategy
    • In your first module, you will explain how organizations forecast and plan for future workforce needs, and how succession planning supports long-term organizational stability. You will also summarize workforce staffing decisions, including staffing methods and employer value propositions (EVPs), while examining HR’s role in restructuring, mergers, and other organizational transitions.
  • Talent Acquisition and Hiring Practices
    • In this module, you will explain the talent acquisition lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding practices. You will also examine recruitment metrics, workforce assessments, and employment laws that shape effective hiring decisions.
  • Total Rewards and Benefits Administration
    • In this module, you will describe how organizations design and communicate total rewards programs, including benefits and leave offerings, to support employee engagement and experience. You will also explain how policies and legal requirements guide the administration, evaluation, and compliance of these programs.
  • Compensation Design and Administration
    • In your final module, you will describe how organizations develop equitable compensation programs through job analysis, job evaluation, and pay structure design. You will also examine compensation policies, benchmarking methods, and reward strategies used to support competitive, compliant, and effective compensation practices.
