  • Robotic Control System - AVR Family
    • This module Robot Control System – AVR Family introduces the fundamentals of robotic control systems using AVR microcontrollers, widely used for real-time embedded applications in manufacturing. The module covers the role of microcontrollers, AVR architecture, key features, and memory organization including Flash, SRAM, and EEPROM. It explains essential peripherals such as timers, counters, ADCs, and communication interfaces, along with the development board, input/output model, and programming environment. Learners explore electronic components on the board and perform basic programming exercises to understand hardware control through code. The module also demonstrates interfacing techniques for output devices like LCD displays and input devices such as IR and ultrasonic sensors. Finally, it introduces wireless connectivity configuration for communication in networked manufacturing environments. Overall, the module provides the foundational knowledge and practical skills required to design and implement AVR-based robotic control systems.
  • Robotic Control System - Espressif family
    • This module Robot Control System – Espressif Family introduces ESP8266 and ESP32 microcontrollers, widely used in industrial automation for their wireless connectivity and enhanced processing capabilities. The module covers the architecture of the ESP8266 development board and its application in developing energy auditing systems, diesel generator management, and smart HVAC systems for efficient industrial operations. It then explores the ESP32 platform through the design and development of line follower robots, pick-and-place robots, obstacle detection systems, and object identification robots, supported by practical demonstrations. Learners also study a truck load object counting system for logistics and inventory management applications. By combining embedded control, sensing, and IoT connectivity, the module provides hands-on experience in developing intelligent robotic systems for smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0 environments.
