Sports injuries can affect more than performance. They can limit work, training, sleep, confidence, and everyday movement. By the end of this course, learners will understand how common athletic injuries develop, how to recognize key patterns of pain and dysfunction, and how targeted sports massage techniques can support recovery, mobility, and improved function.
Led by Stuart Hinds, soft-tissue therapist to four Australian Olympic teams, this course brings elite-level sports medicine experience into a clear and practical format. Learners are introduced to treatment approaches for common conditions including ITB syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome, thoracic outlet syndrome, lateral elbow strains, shin splints, and biceps and pec minor strains.
Through step-by-step demonstrations, learners explore deep stroking massage, trigger point therapy, cupping, taping concepts, dry needling considerations, and clinical reasoning for selecting the right approach.
Massage, bodywork, sports, and fitness professionals will gain practical tools for treating common injuries, while general learners will better understand how soft-tissue care may support pain relief and recovery. This course offers a practical framework for improving movement, reducing compensation, and supporting better outcomes.
