The warmth of the Mediterranean sun, gentle breezes carrying salt air, golden olive oil, exceptional wines, and the sparkling Mediterranean Sea create a common thread connecting Portugal, Spain, Greece, and numerous other countries throughout the region. This course invites you to learn about both the striking similarities and fascinating differences among some of the world's most historic and prestigious wine regions, as well as some exciting new producers making waves with trendsetting wines. Throughout the class, you will explore the distinctive characteristics of Cava, Rioja, Priorat, Ribiera del Duero, Rías Baixas, Jerez, Vinho Verde, Douro, Porto, and Madeira, among many other notable wines.

- Participants who wish to include wine tastings can arrange to pick up their tasting kit at San Francisco Wine School, or we can arrange delivery to locations throughout the United States.
