via CourseHorse

Overview

Adobe software maintains consistency across Mac and PC platforms. When taking this course from one of our physical locations, instruction will use PC hardware with Windows-based software. The instructor will highlight any minor Mac keyboard and interface differences as needed. Students attending courses from home or office environments can use either PC or Mac hardware to connect to the hosted Windows-based Adobe software environment.

Course Overview and Objectives:

This comprehensive course includes a thorough review of the Dreamweaver interface, including how to effectively use Design view, Code view, and Live Code view for web development. You will learn to create and edit basic web pages using both Design and Code views. The course then covers how to integrate important page elements, including images, hyperlinks, and media, and how to apply formatting properties such as font types, styles, and color to achieve professional designs.

Lessons provide an essential overview of HTML (Hypertext Markup Language), which is the foundational markup language used to structure all web pages through semantic and structural tags. Basic HTML knowledge is required to use Dreamweaver effectively. You will also master the syntax of CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) rules and learn how to create, edit, and troubleshoot style sheets for consistent formatting.

The course teaches how to use visual aids and helpful hints within Dreamweaver to code more easily and efficiently. You will learn valuable shortcuts for writing and editing code, including the use of the tag selector and code navigator for precision editing. Learn to create, edit, and view CSS rules using the CSS panel and Property panel for visual control. Link global and embedded style sheets to sites, pages, or page templates to save significant time when creating and maintaining large or complex websites. You will learn to view, edit, and upload associated files, including JavaScript files and libraries.

Version Updates and Compatibility:

Our Creative Cloud classes upgrade to the latest CC version as soon as new training materials are released from Adobe. Typically, new content is available within 2 to 4 months of a software release, keeping your training current with industry standards.

Certification Preparation:

Our Adobe classes utilize official training workbooks directly from Adobe, which are aligned with the Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) exams. For individuals pursuing professional certification, we offer comprehensive Certification Bundles that include structured training, practice exams, certification study guides, and official test vouchers; everything needed to successfully obtain Adobe certification.
