Coach Matt Nally and the Melissa High School coaching staff provide an in-depth, system-based breakdown of their complete RPO offense, revealing not just the plays—but the teaching process behind the system.

This course takes coaches inside the structure of Melissa’s RPO philosophy, focusing on how the offense is built, taught, and executed through a combination of detailed drill work, decision-making development, and systematic quarterback training. Rather than treating RPOs as isolated concepts, the staff presents them as a connected system of reads, rules, and progressions that allow players to operate fast, confidently, and efficiently.

The course demonstrates perimeter drill work that develops timing, spacing, leverage, and blocking precision, showing how wide receivers and skill players are trained to support both the run and pass components of the RPO game. Coaches will see how these drills are structured to reinforce technique, consistency, and game-speed execution.

A major emphasis is placed on quarterback development, highlighting how the Melissa staff empowers their QB to make confident, split-second decisions. The system is designed to simplify processing through clear rules, visual keys, and progressive teaching, allowing the quarterback to operate with speed and clarity rather than hesitation. The course shows how quarterbacks are trained to identify leverage, conflict defenders, and coverage indicators both before and after the snap.

Additionally, the course provides a detailed breakdown of pre-snap and post-snap RPO structures, teaching how defensive alignment, box counts, leverage, and coverage structure dictate decision-making. Coaches will learn how to install RPOs that attack defenses at multiple levels—box, edge, and secondary—while keeping the system simple and teachable for players.

This is not just a playbook presentation—it is a teaching system, showing how to develop players, structure learning progression, and build an RPO offense that is efficient, scalable, and adaptable to different personnel and competition levels.
