This comprehensive course walks coaches and quarterbacks through a complete developmental system, starting from middle school basics and progressing through varsity-level execution in the spread offense. Built from years of on-field experience at the high school level, the program emphasizes efficiency, detail, and game-ready application teaching only what translates directly to film and Friday night performance.
Participants will learn how to structure year-round quarterback development, from off-season fundamentals to in-season execution, covering:
-
Foundations: Stance, snap exchange, grip, and ball carriage.
-
Throwing Mechanics: Accuracy, timing, footwork, and release techniques, including the “three cameras” and “above the water” concepts.
-
Warm-Up & Drills: Daily routines that ingrain accuracy, timing, and consistency.
-
Drops & Footwork: Mastering catch-throw, drop rock, three-step rhythm, three-hitch, and screen drops to match route timing.
-
Run Game & RPOs: Teaching quarterback reads in inside zone, wide zone, power read, and draw, along with RPO decision-making and timing.
-
Pressure & Scramble Drills: Training quarterbacks to respond to live defensive pressure, extend plays, and apply scramble rules with receivers.
-
Practice & Seasonal Planning: Building a calendar that develops quarterbacks year-round while balancing small-school constraints like multi-position athletes.
By the end of the course, attendees will walk away with a proven framework for creating quarterbacks who are accurate, efficient, and confident leaders of the spread offense.
