The Sustainability Toolbox for Building Designers (3 ECTS) is an online course for architects, engineers, and construction professionals looking to minimize building emissions. Focused on life cycle assessment (LCA) and carbon footprint calculations, this program equips participants with essential tools to design sustainable, low-carbon buildings that align with EU environmental standards. Learning Outcomes
After completing this course, you will:- Understand the purpose and overall process of LCA for buildings and how buildings impact the environment
- Identify the factors that affect building energy consumption and energy simulation.
- Be able to conduct LCA for buildings and understand the factors that influence the accuracy of LCA results.
- Be able to conduct LCA for buildings and identify factors that affect the accuracy of LCA results.
- Understand the implications of building LCA results and how to communicate the findings to your audience.
